The US wants Guzman tried on charges ranging from drug trafficking to murder. Guzman, the boss of a Mexican drug cartel and the world’s most prominent drug trafficker, was recaptured in northwestern Mexico on Jan 8, six months after he escaped from a maximum security prison in the country.
