　　Colombian authorities seized 8 tons of cocaine along the border with Panama, and more than a ton was packed for the export market, Reuters reported on May 15. The drug haul, which had an estimated street value of $240 million, is “the biggest seizure of drugs in history”, said Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos. According to The Independent, Colombia is the world’s second-largest cocaine producing country, falling behind Peru.
