Pull off a coup
Didi Chuxing, one of China’s largest ride-hailing services, pulled off a coup against its rival Uber China after the US tech giant Apple Inc invested $1 billion in the company on May 13. The injection of funds marks the single largest investment Didi has ever received. According to Didi’s president, Jean Liu, the two companies will work together on technology, marketing and products.
