call for 打电话找…，说，预报
例句：The forecast calls for heavy snow again tonight. Aren't you glad we'll be getting away from this for a week?
天气预报说明天又要下雪了。我们就要离开这儿一个星期，难道你不高兴吗7
call for directions 打电话问方向
A:I can't find Elm Drive anywhere on this map. I don't think there is any such street.
A:在这张地图上我怎么也找不到榆树大街。我想根本没有这么一条街。
B:lt's probably in the new part of tovm. We'll have to call for directions.
B:它很可能是在新城区。我们得打电话问路了。

2.call2 v．取消
call off 取消 (cancel)
例句：1.The conference has been called off so that we can go shopping now.
会议已经被取消了，因此我们现在可以去购物。
2.The appointment was called off because Prof. Brown had to attend a seminar.

3.food n. 食物，食品

例句：I don't think I can take another semester of this dorm food.

4.move vi．搬家，迁移，移动
move on to 进一步讨论…
例句：I'd Iike to move on to the next item．
我想进一步讨论下面一项。
move out 搬出去
例句：You should see the apartments in my building. You know one of my neighbors is moving out. Come by and I'tl bring you to his place.
你应该看看我公寓里的房子。我们的一个邻居搬出去了。你不妨过来，我带你去他那儿看看。
