2．BBC English broadcasts programmes for China with explan-ations in Chinese．

BBC 英语为中国广播的节目就是用汉语作解释的。

3．The wood cutter was standing next to a fallen tree，with lotsof small pieces of wood in front of him．

伐木工人站在一棵倒下的树旁，在他前面有许多碎木片。

二、with ＋名词＋介词短语，作定语，相当于一个定语从句。例如：

1．AndthenIsawalovelydiamondnecklacewithabigbluestonein the centre．

后来我终于看中了一条美丽的钻石项链，中间还嵌着一颗大宝石。

2．The southern part of the island is a separate country，calledthe Republic of Ireland with Dublin as its capital．

1．with ＋名词＋ v-ing。例如：
