其实口语里的see stars，意思是“眼冒金星；头昏眼花”。

The blow on his head made Jack see stars.
杰克当头挨了一击，眼睛直冒金星。
这里再分享一些和star有关的习语。

1、new star／rising star

star的主要意思是“星星，明星”，比如new star就表示“新发现的星球，新秀”。

Publicity agents were beating the drum about the new star.
宣传员（广告员）们通过宣传媒介竭力吹捧这名新星。
new star跟rising star的意思差不多，都表示了一股新生力量。

比如常说的歌坛新星就可以说：

A new／rising star

a new star singer

an up-and-coming／young singer

2、guest star

guest star的意思是“特约演员明星，客串”。

这里的star可以是动词，意思就是“appear in a guest role”。

Aniston guest stars as a lesbian magazine editor and rival to Cox's character.
安妮斯顿客串一个同性恋女主编的角色，与考克斯演对手戏。
当然，star也可以是名词，那就可以用actor或者是actress替换了。

客串是很常见的事，就比如《建国三部曲》，每次的卖点就是大咖客串。

3、five star

老外就称赞《敦刻尔克》：《敦刻尔克》是一部一流的杰作。▽

Dunkirk is a five-star triumpy.

【triumph可以表示“凯旋；成就”，也有“*好的例子”的意思。】

4、trust one's stars

star还表示“星象”，也就是根据人出生时天体的位置而描述的命运。

所以trust one's stars的意思就是“相信自己的命运”。

5、lucky stars

如果要形容一个人生来就有福气，就可以说：

be born under a lucky star或者be born under a fortunate star。
