A Letter of Application to Be a Volunteer

　　Dear Sir or Madam, I'm Li Ming, a sophomore from Peking University majoring in Environment Engineering.

　　I'm very excited to get the news that your association is going to recruit some volunteers. So I'm writing to apply for it.

　　Recently there have been many natural disasters worldwide，say, sandstorm, flooding, etc.

　　Personally, I think this is partly due to the overuse of natural resources and destruction of the environment.

　　As a major in environment study, I have developed a keen eye on environment pollution and protection and decided to do something to arouse citizens' consciousness of environment protection.

　　Otherwise, our earth will be crying more bitterly for the overexploitation and ignorance of human beings.

　　Here comes the opportunity now.

　　I'm a kind, helpful and passionate boy and have won several prizes in Speech Contests.

　　I believe that I am capable of propagandizing for Earth protection.
