第53课 天气
A:The weather is terrible.
A：天气真糟糕。
B:Yes,the wind was really blowing hard yesterday and I was wearing my heavy jacket,but it is a hot day today.
B：确实，昨天风很大，我穿着厚夹克，但是今天又很热。
A:Well, the weather has been so dry these days that the grass Is dying.
A：是的，这几天天气如此干燥，草都要干死了。
B:I hope it will rain tonight.
B：我盼望今夜下雨。
A:I do hope so. We need rain to make things green.
A：我也非常希望。我们需要一场雨带来些生机。
A:What a wonderful afternoon!
A：下午天气不错！
B:You are lucky to be in Hangzhou this time of year. If you happened to be here in summer, you would feel hot to death.
B：你幸亏是年中这段时节在杭州，如果碰巧夏天在这，会感到热得要死。
A:I live in Northern China where it can be very cold during winter months with average temperature about 15 centigrade below zero.
A：我生活在中国北方，那里冬季平均温度在零下15度左右。
B:Does it often snow during the winter?
B：那里冬天经常下雪？
A:It used to, but now it seldom snows. It didn't snow all year around in 2008.
A：通常是这样，但是现在雪少了。2008年整年都没下雪。
B:Which season do you like best?
B：你最喜欢哪个季节？
A:Autumn is my favorite season which is from September to October. The weather is comfortable and there are no mosquitoes to bother you. Nature provides a wonderful display of leaves changing color from green to yellow. But the only disadvantage is that it only lasts one month.
A：我喜欢9月到10月的秋天。那时气候很舒服，没有蚊子骚扰你。大自然展示了美妙的叶子由绿到黄的色彩变换。可惜这种景象只能维持一个月。
