东临碣石

东临碣石，

Go eastwood to climb the mountain 以观沧海。

just to appreciate the wild ocean 水何澹澹，

How hard the waves strife 山岛竦峙。

How steep the mountains stand 树木丛生,

How wild the woods grow

百草丰茂。

How flourish the grasses lie 秋风萧瑟，

Halling leaves are gone with the wind 洪波涌起。

The waves loudly roar

日月之行，若出其中。

Within it, there are rules of sun and moon 星汉灿烂，若出其里。

Within it,there is magnificent galaxy 幸甚至哉， How lucky I am 歌以咏志。

to the ambitions I sing
