Lead-in. Draw eyes and ears on the blackboard to teach the words: blind and deaf. Say：Can you read if you couldn’t see Can you speak if you couldn’t hear Can you study if you were deaf and blind (No, we can’t.) Let’s get to know a great woman who ’s blind and deaf, but she could read and write. She even went to college. Let’s see the screen. 2. Let’s have a look Show some pictures on the screen and introduce them with the following sentences. The Story of My Life She learned to know things by touching, smelling and feeling. Anne Sullivan was her teacher in her home. If I Were Given Three Days to See She’s very diligent and hard-working. She had been learning all her life.
