Advertising A: Every day we encounter advertisements : on the radio and TV ,in the newspapers and magazines ,on the internet and so on . B: Yes , no matter where you stay ,at home or on the street . There are always some advertisements around you . It seems we can hardly avoid seeing them wherever we go . A: En . I agree with you . when you take a bus or a subways ,you can always see some post there. And when you are surfing the Internet ,some advertising come out suddenly . that make me so annoyed ! And I hated it ! B: What do you think of advertising ? I mean its advantages and disadvantages. A: Many people complain about the overwhelming presence of advertisements in our lives and regard them as largely intrusive , misleading and harmful to consumers , especially to the young. B; However, others argue that advertisements provide consumers with useful information for products and services and that they have a role to play in the development of economy. A: You know , there are much influence on your decisions when you purchasing something . and some advertising are fake .the good quality do no fit advertisements and most advertised products don’t live up to consumers’ expectations. B: I see , but advertising is best way to inform the public about products on the market and it stimulates competitions . A: Yes ,we can get some information on the advertising when you plan to go out for your holidays. For example, the price of the hotel or tickets . B: Some advertisements can also be a source of entertainment, you know some of them are very creative and fun to watch. A: Anyway , everything has two side , we can not define something bad or good directly . but we need stay calm when we buy something .and make careful evaluations of the advertisements. B: Yes, I agree with you . Environment Problems and Its Protection A: The environment is an issue that affects all of us . B： Yes ,growing environmental problems such as global warming, air and water pollution are causing great concern among scientists and world leaders alike . A： We all know ,with the development of economy ,our environment is being seriously polluted. And most environmental problems are caused by human activity . B：Yes , air pollution is the most serious form of pollution in industrial cities of our country . the exhaust fumes from burning fuels in automobiles, homes and industries are major source of air pollution . A: Most of garbage we throw away is buried in landfills, and rotting garbage in a landfill releases harmful gases into the air . It also has the potential to contaminate groungwater. B; Air pollution makes people sick,and causes breathing problems and even cancer , of course ,it damages trees and crops and so on A: Some industries and people are damaging our waters ,they pour dirty water and harmful substances into lakes ,rivers and seas . B：As a result of water pollution , many species of fish die and the water becomes undrinkable . A: Burning oil and other fuels releases carbon dioxide and other harmful gases into the atmosphere, and causing the global warming .and trap the sun’s heat ,causing a gradual warming of the surface of the Earth . B: The earth’s forests are disappearing at alarming rate .deforestation can have serious effects on the environment including soil erosion , flooding . loss of biodiversity and local and global climate change .l A: So we should take action to protect our environment . B: Yes , the government should pass stricter laws to stop industries from polluting the environment ,and to stop illegal logging of the forests . A: I agree with you . and we can help protect the environment if we buy environmentally friendly products . and turn off the light when you left ,and avoid using disposable boxes , chopsticks ,cup and so on .
